Learn YCB TTC and Yogic Management of Facial Wellness with Shaphali. Specializing in holistic well-being, she helps with disease management, weight control, stress relief, and women’s health. Shaphali Singh YCB Level 2- Yoga Wellness Instructor | Faculty YCB TTC, Face Yoga | Ayushman Yog Phone: +91-9258450110 Email: shaphali@gmail.com Areas of Expertise YCB Teacher Training| Classical Ashtanga Practice | Yogic Management of Facial Wellness | Therapeutic Yoga for Chronic Illness and Women's Health | About Shaphali Shaphali comes from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, and her relationship with yoga began long before it became a profession. It began as a personal necessity, a quiet, determined search for self-care at a time when she needed it most. That origin matters, because it is what gives her teaching its particular quality: the understanding that yoga, at its most useful, is not a performance but a response to a real human need. Qualifications & Credentials Shaphali holds multiple academic degrees alongside her YCB Level 2 certification as a Yoga Wellness Instructor, a government-recognised qualification under the Ministry of AYUSH. It was the YCB certification, however, that marked the turning point, not merely formalising her knowledge, but giving her the clarity and confidence to establish her own yoga centre, where she works closely with individuals navigating chronic illness, weight concerns, stress, and women's health. What she offers there is not a standardised programme. It is a genuinely personalised practice, shaped by each person's needs and circumstances. Yoga Training Shaphali's classical foundation is in Ashtanga Yoga, which she had the privilege of practising under the guidance of Saraswati Jois in Mysuru. That experience remains one of the most significant of her life as a practitioner. Ashtanga taught her that yoga is not about what the body can perform, it is about what consistent, disciplined practice builds from the inside. The precision and internal awareness the practice demands are qualities she carries into every teaching context, and she particularly enjoys sharing these subtleties with students in the Teacher Training programmes, where the depth of classical practice is often encountered for the first time. Facial Wellness: A Personal Beginning Shaphali's work in facial wellness has an equally personal origin. She came to face yoga through her own challenges with skin health, looking for something that worked without dependence on chemical-based products. What she found through sustained practice exceeded what she had hoped for, and that experience convinced her of its genuine therapeutic value far more than any academic study could have. She now teaches facial wellness as an extension of yogic self-care, integrating breathwork, facial movement, and relaxation practices into a coherent approach to natural skin health and radiance. It is a practice she has lived with, refined over years, and come to understand from the inside out. Professional Journey Before stepping into a formal teaching role, Shaphali built her understanding of yoga across years of personal practice, classical training, and sustained independent study. The establishment of her own yoga centre marked her entry into professional teaching, a space she has shaped around individual need, and one that has given her a practitioner's ground-level understanding of what people actually struggle with and what genuinely helps. Her connection to Ayushman Yog followed naturally from that commitment to depth, and she joined as faculty to bring the same personalisation into the structured context of YCB teacher training. At Ayushman Yog Shaphali contributes as faculty across two programmes at Ayushman Yog. In the YCB Teacher Training Courses , she guides aspiring yoga teachers through the practical components of their certification, bringing to that role both her classical training and the hard-won experience of building and running an independent yoga centre. There is a quality of teaching that only comes from having worked with real people in real circumstances over many years, and that is what she brings to this programme. In the Yogic Management of Facial Wellness programme, she teaches the principles and practices she has lived with and refined over the years, offering students not just technique, but the understanding that makes technique meaningful. Teaching Philosophy What Shaphali is working toward, through both programmes, is something larger than individual sessions or certifications. She wants students to leave with a relationship with yoga that sustains them, one that serves their health, their appearance, and their inner life, not as separate concerns but as parts of a single, integrated practice. Yoga, for Shaphali, has never been about exercise. It is a way of living. And her deepest aim is to help others find it that way too.

YCB exam preparation books are structured study materials designed strictly as per the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) syllabus , helping candidates prepare for theory, practical, and viva components of YCB examinations. Are these books aligned with the official YCB syllabus? Yes. These books are 100% YCB syllabus-based, covering all required topics for different YCB levels, including yoga philosophy, anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, therapy concepts, and practical applications. Are these YCB exam books suitable for self-study candidates? Absolutely. The books are especially helpful for those preparing independently without enrolling in a full-time TTC. How are these books different from traditional yoga books? These books are designed specifically for YCB examination preparation and therefore differ from traditional yoga texts in the following ways: They are exam-oriented , with a clear focus on YCB assessment patterns. The content is structured strictly according to the official YCB syllabus for each level. Emphasis is placed on what is expected in YCB examinations, rather than on broad or generic yoga theory. MCQs are included to help candidates assess their understanding and readiness for the exam. Which YCB levels do these exam preparation books cover? Each book is specifically written for a particular YCB examination level, which is clearly mentioned in the book title itself. Candidates should purchase the book that corresponds to the exact YCB level they are preparing for. Can I prepare for the YCB exam using only these books? These books have been compiled after thoroughly studying all the reference books prescribed by YCB across various syllabi and are designed to be comprehensive and exam-oriented . However, they do not replace the study of classical yoga texts. Traditional scriptures such as the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita, Shiva Samhita, Yoga Sutras, and other foundational works remain indispensable for a deeper and authentic understanding of yoga. While the guidebooks cover and reference relevant topics from these texts, aspirants are strongly encouraged to study as many traditional texts as possible, as yogic knowledge is vast and cannot be confined to a single book or guide. Where can I buy the YCB exam preparation books? These YCB exam preparation books can be purchased directly from Amazon. You may either search for the exact book title on Amazon or click on the “Order Now” link provided on the page above, which will redirect you to the respective Amazon product page. It is not an incidental beginning. The landscape and culture she grew up in have quietly informed everything about the way she understands and teaches the practice. Her relationship with yoga began early in life, not through formal instruction but through a genuine personal need, to stay grounded, physically well, and inwardly connected. That quiet, consistent practice stayed with her through years of postgraduate study and into a full corporate career. The professional world is demanding in ways that are difficult to describe until you are inside it, and yoga was what kept her anchored through all of it. Her curiosity about the deeper dimensions of the practice never left her, even during the years when life made it easy to set that curiosity aside. Qualifications & Credentials Sunita holds a YCB Level 2 certification as a Yoga Wellness Instructor, a government-recognised qualification under the Ministry of AYUSH. Her academic foundation spans postgraduate study and years of professional experience, contexts that sharpened both her discipline and her understanding of what sustained wellbeing actually requires in a demanding life. Professional Journey Sunita holds a YCB Level 2 certification as a Yoga Wellness Instructor, a government-recognised qualification under the Ministry of AYUSH. Her academic foundation spans postgraduate study and years of professional experience, contexts that sharpened both her discipline and her understanding of what sustained wellbeing actually requires in a demanding life. At Ayushman Yog Sunita serves as faculty across two programmes at Ayushman Yog. In the YCB Teacher Training Courses , she teaches practical classes to students at different stages of their journey, beginners finding their footing, practitioners refining their understanding, aspiring teachers preparing for certification. Her focus is on helping students develop not just technical accuracy but a felt sense of the practice: the kind of awareness that makes yoga intelligent, safe, and sustainable over a lifetime. She also guides the Daily Yoga Practice programme ; Ayushman Yog's advanced yoga classes designed for practitioners who want yoga woven consistently into their everyday lives. These sessions go deeper into asana, pranayama, and the subtler dimensions of practice, and are open to all sincere practitioners regardless of level. Beyond teaching, Sunita also contributes to Ayushman Yog's academic work as a peer reviewer. She has reviewed the YCB Level 6 Yoga Therapist guidebook , part of the complete suite of YCB examination resources authored by Nidhi Thakur, bringing her own eye to the rigour and clarity of the material before it reaches students. Teaching Philosophy Yoga, for Sunita, has always been more than movement. It is a path of self-inquiry, steady effort, and genuine transformation, one that belongs to everyone willing to walk it sincerely. Whether a student is just beginning or returning after years away, her aim is the same: to meet them where they are, and help them go further than they thought they could.

- Nidhi Thakur | Yoga Educator | Founder of Ayushman Yog
Meet Nidhi Thakur, Yoga Educator, Author and Founder of Ayushman Yog. Nidhi Thakur Founder & Director: Ayushman Yog |Yoga Educator | Yoga Therapist | Academic Resource Faculty | Author Email: yogafitness.nidhi@gmail.com Areas of Expertise Yoga Education and Teacher Training | Yoga Therapy and Disease Management | Pranayama and Respiratory Regulation | Yogic Counselling and Mind-Body Integration | Yoga Philosophy and Vedantic Studies | Faculty Wellness and Holistic Development About Nidhi Nidhi Thakur is the Founder and Director of Ayushman Yog , an online yoga education platform founded with the vision of preparing serious yoga students and practitioners for Yoga Certification Board examinations, through structured, authentic, and academically grounded teaching. With over a decade of experience spanning yoga teaching, therapy, curriculum development, and academic engagement, Nidhi brings to her work a rare combination of classical depth and contemporary rigour. She is not only a practitioner and educator, but an original thinker in the field, having developed two structured frameworks that represent genuine contributions to the way yoga therapy and respiratory practice are understood and taught. Her approach to yoga education is rooted in a simple conviction: that yoga, taught well and with honesty, changes lives. Everything at Ayushman Yog reflects that belief. Qualifications & Credentials Nidhi holds a dual postgraduate foundation that bridges the scientific and the philosophical, an M.Sc. in Yoga from Annamalai University and an M.Sc. in Vedanta from Maharshi Ved Vyas International Virtual Vedic University. Her undergraduate background in Information Technology from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, informs the structured, systems-oriented thinking she brings to curriculum design and yoga education. She also holds a Yoga Certification Board Level 3 certification as a Yoga Teacher and Evaluator, one of the highest level of YCB professional certification, and is additionally certified as a Yoga Instructor through Yoga Alliance International. Professional Journey Before stepping onto the yoga mat as a teacher, Nidhi built her professional foundation in the corporate world, working across customer service and coordination roles, and eventually as a Project Coordinator at Fitness Force, a fitness software company. It was perhaps not accidental that her last corporate role sat at the intersection of fitness and technology, a space that gave her both organisational discipline and a first-hand understanding of how wellness is managed, and often mismanaged, in institutional settings. In 2018, she made a deliberate transition, bringing that same rigour and systems thinking into the world of yoga. Her teaching practice grew across private, corporate, and institutional settings, working with students in both one-to-one and group formats. Her clinical focus deepened steadily, the therapeutic application of yoga for stress, lifestyle disorders, and musculoskeletal and respiratory conditions, always through individualised assessment and breath-based intervention rather than generic programming. In 2022, she founded Ayushman Yog with the vision of making structured, YCB-aligned yoga education accessible beyond the walls of a physical school. Since then, she has designed and overseen all teacher training and advanced study programmes, developed curriculum integrating yogic philosophy, physiology, therapy, and pedagogy, and mentored a growing community of yoga teachers and therapists across India and internationally. The Idea Behind Ayushman Yog When Nidhi began her own journey into formal yoga education, she encountered what many serious aspirants quietly struggle with. Yoga education at the time was largely ashram-oriented, geographically limited, and financially out of reach for many. The Yoga Certification Board was still relatively new, and very few teachers were preparing students specifically for its examinations. Resources were scattered. Guidance was hard to find. She navigated it herself, piecing together her learning through determination and whatever materials she could access. But as she did, a thought stayed with her. If she was finding this difficult with her background and drive, how many other sincere aspirants were simply giving up? There was something else that stayed with her too. During her Level 1 studies, she once reached out to her teacher with a genuine question, about the significance of the three syllables in Om. The answer she received was not an answer. She was directed to enroll in another course. It was only later, studying independently, that she found the response in the Mandukya Upanishad, one of the shortest and most accessible of all the Upanishads. The answer had always been there. It simply had not been offered. That experience shaped something fundamental in the way Nidhi thinks about yoga education. A student who finishes a course and still cannot get a straight answer to a genuine question is not a student who has been served well. And a school that responds to every question with another course is not a school, it is a marketplace. She also understood something practical. A yoga student's journey does not end at certification. Questions keep coming. Doubts arise in practice. Situations emerge in teaching that no syllabus fully prepares you for. Where does a student go with those questions? How many courses can one reasonably be expected to do? That question became Ayushman Yog. Built on the conviction that knowledge should be offered generously; not rationed, Ayushman Yog goes beyond the YCB syllabus at every level. Theory sessions are discussion-oriented. Kriyas are taught in depth. Students are encouraged to ask, to question, and to explore beyond what an examination requires. And long after a course ends, students remain part of a living community with continued access to teachers, to resources, and to the kind of unhurried, honest guidance that Nidhi once had to search for alone. Because that is what a school is for. Original Contributions to Yoga Nidhi's contributions to the field of yoga span original therapeutic frameworks, structured respiratory practice, and authored academic publications that have shaped the accessibility to YCB exam prep across India. DPYT: Dual Phase Yoga Therapy DPYT organises yoga therapy into two complementary phases: a structured morning self-practice that harnesses the body's natural healing peak, and a therapist-led session that progressively addresses the client's condition as a whole. The framework is built on the principle that lasting therapeutic outcomes require both guided intervention and cultivated self-reliance. DPYT is not a temporary protocol. It is designed as a lifelong system of self-care. PRANA : Progressive Respiratory Awareness and Nasal Adjustment PRANA is a structured three-week breath retraining protocol rooted in the yogic principle of slow exhalation . It addresses the widespread but underrecognised problem of dysfunctional breathing; chronic overbreathing, mouth breathing, and shallow chest breathing, and offers a progressive, accessible pathway back to nasal, diaphragmatic breathing. Beyond long-term respiratory health, PRANA also serves as an immediate tool for emotional regulation, offering a simple, reliable intervention for anger, anxiety, panic attacks, and moments of acute emotional overwhelm. Grounded in both classical pranayama tradition and contemporary respiratory science, PRANA is designed to be a sustainable lifetime practice. YCB Examination Guidebooks: Nidhi is the author of the complete suite of Yoga Certification Board course materials. These guidebooks that serve as the primary academic resource for YCB examinations across globe, covering every level from Yoga Protocol Instructor through to Yoga Therapist. These publications represent one of the most comprehensive bodies of YCB-aligned academic writing produced by a single author in the field. Explore the full collection here. Speaking & Academic Engagements Nidhi is an invited speaker and panelist at national and international forums on yoga, wellness, and holistic health, bringing a perspective that is grounded in both clinical practice and academic rigour. Ayushman Yog, India's trusted online yoga teacher training school. सामान्य प्रश्न Does the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) teach yoga courses ? No. The Yoga Certification Board (YCB) does not offer yoga courses or conduct training directly. YCB is an official government body under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, responsible for setting national standards for yoga education and conducting certification examinations across levels; from Level 1 (Yoga Protocol Instructor) to Level 7 (Therapeutic Yoga Consultant). Yoga training is offered by private yoga schools like Ayushman Yog, which prepare students comprehensively for YCB examinations. Students may choose to study through a private school or opt for self-study using prescribed material. However, the YCB examination itself can only be conducted through YCB-approved Professional Certification Bodies (PrCBs). Ayushman Yog currently has a tie-up with one such authorized body, MSPL, through which eligible students can appear for the official YCB examinations. To explore YCB exam preparation courses at Ayushman Yog, visit our Online Live Courses or download our Course Brochure Why is doing a Yoga Teacher Training course through YCB the most popular choice in India? The Yoga Certification Board (YCB) has become the most preferred yoga certification framework in India for several strong reasons: Government Recognition YCB certifications are issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, making them one of the most credible and officially recognised yoga qualifications available in India. No other yoga certification in India carries the weight of a government-issued document. Career Opportunities A YCB certificate is accepted across schools, hospitals, corporate wellness programs, government institutions, and yoga studios in India. Many government job postings for yoga instructors specifically require a YCB certification, making it a strong professional credential. International Credibility For international students and Indian professionals working abroad, a YCB certification carries strong credibility as it is backed by the Government of India, the birthplace of yoga. Structured & Progressive Framework YCB certifications are structured across seven levels, from Level 1 (Yoga Protocol Instructor) to Level 7 (Therapeutic Yoga Consultant) allowing yoga professionals to progressively deepen their expertise and advance their careers over time. Affordable & Accessible YCB exam preparation is available through private yoga teacher training schools like Ayushman Yog at accessible fee structures, with online live courses making it possible to prepare from anywhere in India. At Ayushman Yog, we offer comprehensive YCB exam preparation for Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 5 and Level 6. Download our Course Brochure to explore which level is right for you. How should I prepare for the YCB yoga certification exam? Preparing for the YCB yoga certification exam requires a structured approach covering both theory and practical components. Here is how Ayushman Yog recommends preparing: Study the Right Material Ayushman Yog has authored comprehensive YCB exam preparation books for Level 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6, available on Amazon and as digital study material. These are India's most widely used YCB guidebooks and are specifically written to align with the official YCB examination syllabus. Attend Live Theory Classes At Ayushman Yog, theory classes are conducted live via Google Meet, 5 days a week, in an interactive discussion-oriented format. Students are encouraged to ask questions, clarify concepts, and revisit topics until fully confident. Students may continue attending theory classes even after the 3-month practical training until they clear the examination, at no extra cost. Practice MCQs Regularly Regular practice of multiple choice questions helps build conceptual clarity and exam readiness. Ayushman Yog provides MCQ practice tests as part of the structured study material accessible on the website and mobile app. Strengthen Your Practical Training The YCB exam includes a practical component. At Ayushman Yog, practical training covers Ashtanga Primary Series, Disease Management, and YCB Syllabus Practices, equally intensive across all levels. Book One-to-One Sessions if Needed For personalised exam preparation support, Ayushman Yog offers one-to-one theory sessions that can be scheduled as per availability. Appear for the Exam When Ready YCB examinations are conducted every month through authorised PrCB partner MSPL. There is no deadline to appear, students are encouraged to take the exam only when they feel fully prepared. Ayushman Yog assists with the exam booking process. To begin your YCB exam preparation, explore our Online Live Courses or download our Course Brochure. How does the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) conduct yoga certification exams? The Yoga Certification Board (YCB) conducts yoga certification examinations through authorised Professional Certification Bodies (PrCBs), independent bodies approved by YCB to administer the official examinations on its behalf. YCB does not conduct examinations directly. Exam Format YCB examinations consist of two components: Theory Examination A written examination covering the syllabus prescribed by YCB for the respective level, including yoga philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, and yogic texts. The depth and complexity of the theory examination increases progressively from Level 1 to Level 6. Practical Examination A practical assessment covering asanas, pranayama, mudras, bandhas, kriyas, and teaching demonstration as prescribed by YCB for the respective level. Exam Mode YCB examinations are currently conducted in online mode through authorised PrCB partners. Ayushman Yog has a tie-up with one such authorised PrCB partner, MSPL, through which enrolled students can appear for the official YCB examinations. Exam Frequency YCB examinations are conducted every month. Upcoming exam dates are shared regularly with Ayushman Yog students through the official community WhatsApp groups. Certification Upon successfully clearing both the theory and practical components, students receive a government-issued YCB certificate from the Yoga Certification Board, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The certificate is valid for five years and requires renewal thereafter. To begin your YCB exam preparation at Ayushman Yog, explore our Online Live Courses or download our Course Brochure. How much is the passing percentage? The passing percentage for the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) yoga certification exam is 70% for both the theory and practical components individually. Students must clear both components separately, clearing one does not compensate for the other. Please note that YCB examination guidelines are subject to change. Ayushman Yog recommends always verifying the latest examination guidelines directly with the official YCB website or through our authorised PrCB partner MSPL at the time of exam booking. At Ayushman Yog, students are thoroughly prepared for both theory and practical components through live classes, structured study material, MCQ practice tests, and mock exams, ensuring they are well above the passing threshold before appearing for the examination. To explore our Online Live Courses or download our Course Brochure. What is the validity of the YCB yoga certification certificate? YCB yoga certification certificates are valid for 5 years from the date of issue. After the validity period, certificate holders are required to renew their certification by appearing for an online viva examination conducted by the Yoga Certification Board, subject to the applicable renewal fee. Upon successfully completing the renewal process, the certification is extended for another 5 years. It is important for yoga professionals to track their certificate validity and initiate the renewal process in time to avoid any lapse in certification, especially if the certificate is required for employment in schools, hospitals, government institutions, or corporate wellness programs. For any queries regarding certificate validity or renewal, students can refer to the official YCB website or reach out to our authorised PrCB partner MSPL for guidance. At Ayushman Yog, we keep our students informed about important examination and certification updates through our official community WhatsApp groups. Download Brochure How Our Yoga Teacher Training Works Our YCB Level 1, 2 and 3 Teacher Training Courses are structured around a belief that a strong practical foundation and early teaching experience matter more than moving through levels in a fixed sequence. Practical Classes: Shared, Rotating, and Open to All Levels- Practical training covers three standalone topics: Ashtanga Primary Series, Hatha Yoga and Disease Management, and YCB Syllabus . Each topic runs for four weeks, and new students are welcomed at the start of every topic cycle. Students across Level 1, 2 and 3 train together in the same practical batches, because we believe that deep yogic knowledge is not level-specific; it belongs to every serious practitioner from the very beginning. Theory Classes: Level-Specific and Separate - Theory classes are conducted on separate days for each level, ensuring that every student receives the precise academic preparation required for their chosen YCB certification exam . Levels Are Not Sequential Here - At Ayushman Yog, YCB Levels 1, 2 and 3 are independent entry points, not a compulsory step-by-step progression. A student can enrol at any level based on their goals. If at any point a student wishes to switch levels, they can do so seamlessly; their practical training remains relevant. For the theory component, they may choose to self-study using the relevant book or join our theory classes for the new level at 50% of the applicable course fee. Start Teaching Early - We actively encourage our students to begin teaching as early as possible. Knowledge deepens through practice, and the classroom is only the beginning. Our Teaching Approach The structure described above is made possible by the depth of what we actually teach. Ayushman Yog does not limit its curriculum to the prescribed YCB syllabus ; we build well beyond it, because we believe a yoga teacher's foundation should be broad, classical, and practically rich. Our programmes incorporate a holistic framework that includes: Disease management through the DPYT model Ashtanga Primary Series Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha, and Kriya practicals Stress management and lifestyle disorder management Yoga as integrative medicine Teaching practice In-depth study of classical texts, including Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Bhagavad Gita, and, at the advanced level, Hatha Ratnavali, Yoga Vasishtha, and the Upanishads Practical sessions are conducted five days a week with additional theory sessions to match the depth each level demands. The Yoga Protocol Instructor (equivalent to 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training) is a foundational professional yoga education program designed to prepare aspirants to teach yoga safely and authentically. This course covers practical yoga training, theory, anatomy, physiology, teaching methodology, and philosophy, as prescribed under the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) Level-1 syllabus. What does “equivalent to hours” actually mean in Yoga Teacher Training? In the context of yoga education, “equivalent to hours” refers to the approximate estimated learning time prescribed for a particular level of study. It represents the overall academic and learning workload expected from a student, rather than a fixed number of classroom or contact hours. It is important to understand that yoga learning is not a rigid, hour-bound process . The concept of counting education strictly in hours is largely a Western academic framework, whereas the traditional yogic system has always emphasised continuous practice (abhyasa), reflection, and experiential understanding, which cannot be confined to a definite number of hours. This is why, at Ayushman Yog, the course structure is designed with flexibility: Practical training is conducted for a defined period of 3 months, ensuring disciplined, guided, and consistent practice. Theory learning remains open-ended, allowing students to continue attending live theory classes until they feel ready and successfully clear the examination. This approach acknowledges that every learner absorbs knowledge at a different pace, especially in deeper subjects such as philosophy, anatomy, and therapeutic understanding. The estimated learning time, therefore, serves as a guideline for depth and scope, not as a limitation on learning. In essence, the “hour equivalence” helps standardise learning outcomes, while the actual journey of yoga learning remains flexible, personal, and ongoing. What is YCB (Yoga Certification Board)? The Yoga Certification Board (YCB) is a body under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, responsible for standardizing yoga education, teacher qualifications, and therapist certifications across India and internationally. What is the mode of teaching for this course? The course is conducted in an online live format (conducted through G-meet and Microsoft Teams) , ensuring real-time interaction between students and teachers. It includes guided practice sessions, theory classes, doubt-clearing, and teaching methodology training. Do I need to be in India to enroll in this course? No. This course is open to both Indian and international students. Since the training as well as examination is conducted online, physical presence in India is not required. Will recordings be available if I miss a class? No. Session recordings of live classes are not provided . Live participation is essential for posture correction, real-time guidance, interaction, and meaningful discussions, which are not possible through recordings. Additionally, regular attendance helps maintain discipline and consistency in practice, both of which are fundamental qualities of a yoga teacher. Once you begin teaching professionally, missing classes frequently is not practical, and this training is designed to cultivate that responsibility from the start. After completing this course, can I teach yoga professionally? Yes. Upon successful completion of the training and certification, you will be awarded a certificate of completion by Ayushman Yog. This would allow you to begin teaching yoga classes independently or apply for teaching roles. For Government recognition, clearing the YCB examination is recommended. What is the authenticity of the certification? Ayushman Yog is registered with Yoga Alliance International (CYS500) and World Yoga Federation. Hence, the certification issued by Ayuhsman yog hold international credibility, and is valid lifetime. The certificate issued by the Government of India is aligned with Yoga Certification Board (YCB) standards under the Ministry of AYUSH. It reflects structured, syllabus-based yoga education widely recognised at the national level and also globally. Who are the instructors for this course? You can read the teacher's profile here . Will I receive study material for the course? Yes. Complete study material is provided in digital format and can be accessed through our website and mobile app. The digital material is non-downloadable to ensure content integrity. If you prefer studying from a physical book, you may choose to purchase the printed version from Amazon. Please note that the content of the book and the digital material is the same, and purchasing the hard copy is entirely optional, not mandatory. After completing the 3-month course, how much time do I have to appear for the YCB exam? YCB examinations are conducted every month. The upcoming exam dates are shared regularly with students through the official community WhatsApp groups. There is no pressure from our side to appear for the examination immediately after the course. Students are encouraged to take the exam only when they feel fully prepared. Once you decide your preferred exam month, we assist you with the exam booking process. Currently, the examinations are conducted in online mode through our authorized PrCB partner, MSPL. Since I can appear for the exam when I feel ready, does that mean I can continue the classes indefinitely? The practical classes are conducted strictly for a period of 3 months , as per the course structure. However, understanding that theoretical learning benefits from repetition and continued exposure, students are allowed to continue attending the online live theory classes even after the completion of the 3-month practical training. You may attend the theory sessions until you clear the examination, and even after the exam, should you wish to stay connected for continued learning and conceptual clarity. Is Ayushman Yog a Government body? No. Ayushman Yog is a private yoga education institute that prepares students for the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) examinations. Please note that all yoga teaching and training institutions are private bodies. We are accredited with Yoga Alliance International (CYS 500), and World Yoga Federation How does Government affiliation work for YCB courses and examinations? Yoga teaching and training institutions are private bodies. The Government of India, through the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) , does not run teaching institutes directly. Instead, it affiliates and authorises examination bodies, known as Professional Certification Bodies (PrCBs) , to conduct YCB examinations. Students may choose to study through any private yoga school , such as Ayushman Yog, or may even opt for self-study by using prescribed study material, especially in the case of experienced practitioners who may not require intensive classroom support. However, YCB examinations can only be conducted by YCB-approved PrCBs. Ayushman Yog currently has a tie-up with one such authorised body, MSPL , through which eligible students may appear for the official YCB examinations. Is the YCB certificate valid for a lifetime? No. YCB certifications are valid for a period of five years. After the validity period, certificate holders are required to renew their certification by appearing for an online viva examination, subject to the applicable renewal fee. Upon successful completion of the renewal process, the certification is extended for another five years. Will I have lifetime access to the study material? Yes. The study material shared in digital format comes with lifetime access. Once enrolled, you can continue to access and refer to the material even after the course duration and examination, for revision and continued learning. Is doing Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 a step-by-step process? No. Preparing for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 is not a compulsory step-by-step process . Any level can be prepared independently by a student. This is because, in India, many practitioners have been practising yoga for several years, sometimes decades, through traditional lineages, self-practice, or teaching experience. It would not be fair or practical for the government to mandate that such practitioners must first complete Level 1 before becoming eligible for higher levels. Hence, the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) has intentionally kept the system open and flexible. For this reason, at Ayushman Yog, we structure our training accordingly. The practical training for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 in our school is conducted in a single, intensive batch (Never exceeding 15 students per batch) . From a yogic and pedagogical perspective, reducing practical exposure based on level does not serve the purpose of authentic learning or competent teaching. For example, limiting a Level 1 candidate to only 35 asanas from the syllabus would not be sufficient to develop embodied understanding or teaching confidence. Therefore, all levels receive comprehensive and intensive practical training. The distinction between levels lies primarily in the depth of theory, not in reduced practice. As the level increases, the theoretical understanding becomes progressively deeper, more analytical, and more philosophical. Based on individual inclination: Those interested in deeper philosophy and conceptual understanding may directly prepare for Level 3. Those who prefer a gradual theoretical progression may choose Level 1 or Level 2. Each level independently enables a candidate to teach yoga. However, should an aspirants wishes to apply in a specific studio or a government job, then the required certifications should be done. This approach allows us to honour the traditional way yoga is learned while remaining aligned with modern certification requirements. Application Form
