About Sunita
Sunita Bora is a native of Uttarakhand, a land shaped by the Himalayas, steeped in spiritual tradition, and deeply connected to the roots of classical yoga. It is not an incidental beginning. The landscape and culture she grew up in have quietly informed everything about the way she understands and teaches the practice.
Her relationship with yoga began early in life, not through formal instruction but through a genuine personal need, to stay grounded, physically well, and inwardly connected. That quiet, consistent practice stayed with her through years of postgraduate study and into a full corporate career. The professional world is demanding in ways that are difficult to describe until you are inside it, and yoga was what kept her anchored through all of it. Her curiosity about the deeper dimensions of the practice never left her, even during the years when life made it easy to set that curiosity aside.
Qualifications & Credentials
Sunita holds a YCB Level 2 certification as a Yoga Wellness Instructor, a government-recognised qualification under the Ministry of AYUSH. Her academic foundation spans postgraduate study and years of professional experience, contexts that sharpened both her discipline and her understanding of what sustained wellbeing actually requires in a demanding life.
Professional Journey

At Ayushman Yog
Sunita serves as faculty across two programmes at Ayushman Yog.
-
In the YCB Teacher Training Courses, she teaches practical classes to students at different stages of their journey, beginners finding their footing, practitioners refining their understanding, aspiring teachers preparing for certification. Her focus is on helping students develop not just technical accuracy but a felt sense of the practice: the kind of awareness that makes yoga intelligent, safe, and sustainable over a lifetime.
-
She also guides the Daily Yoga Practice programme; Ayushman Yog's advanced yoga classes designed for practitioners who want yoga woven consistently into their everyday lives. These sessions go deeper into asana, pranayama, and the subtler dimensions of practice, and are open to all sincere practitioners regardless of level.
Beyond teaching, Sunita also contributes to Ayushman Yog's academic work as a peer reviewer. She has reviewed the YCB Level 6 Yoga Therapist guidebook, part of the complete suite of YCB examination resources authored by Nidhi Thakur, bringing her own eye to the rigour and clarity of the material before it reaches students.
Teaching Philosophy
Yoga, for Sunita, has always been more than movement. It is a path of self-inquiry, steady effort, and genuine transformation, one that belongs to everyone willing to walk it sincerely. Whether a student is just beginning or returning after years away, her aim is the same: to meet them where they are, and help them go further than they thought they could.
