Sukshma Vyayama- Micro Circulation Exercises-

Sukshma vyayama refers to the warm-up exercises which are done before the actual yogic sequence. These exercises can be best understood as the isolated movements for every joint such as the neck, shoulder, waist, knees, ankle, etc. with breath coordination. Sukshma Vyayama was designed and propagated by Maharishi Kartikeya Maharaj of Himalaya. His disciple Dheerendra Brahmachari preached this knowledge to the

world. There are a total of 48 exercises in Yogic Sukshma Vyayama.

Benefits-

  1. Sukshma Vyayama movements ensure the proper warm-up of the body thus preparing the body for the advanced sequences.

  2. A warmed-up body is less prone to injuries.

  3. These movements are excellent for injury rehabilitation and movement restoration.

  4. Ideal for senior practitioners if they are not able to attempt the actual sequence.

  5. These movements are done with breath coordination hence setting the tone of the practice.

Sample questions asked in YCB Practical-
